CIEL NORDIQUE - II, MC

Originating from Bas-Saint-Laurent (Lower Saint Lawrence region) in 2005, CIEL NORDIQUE is one of the forerunners of patriotic Québécois black metal. After releasing a demo that was mainly distributed among close contacts, the band disappeared into the shadows—until now. Fifteen years later, they have returned with a brand-new EP featuring six tracks. The national themes remain central to CIEL NORDIQUE's music, now more resolute than ever. The songs are varied, oscillating between brutal black metal and more ethereal passages, as well as martial and even folk elements. The riffs are catchy and dynamic, supported by shouted French poetry. A modern production enhances the intensity and atmosphere of this truly captivating black metal duo.
