Elffor

Lands of darkness, heroism, and barbarism. A wander through dark and mysterious forests and vast snow-capped mountains, where we explore deserted caverns, crypts, ossuaries, and other places emanating anguish and fear. Desolate ruins and sinister castles, decorated with chivalric paintings of fleeting, bygone glory, haunted by the ghosts and phantoms of the past. An odyssey in which we plunge into abyssal depths, where light dies forever and eternal night triumphs. For 30 years now, Elffor has been transporting listeners into these moods and atmospheres.

Formed in 1995 in the Basque country, the artist has produced no fewer than 28 full-length albums, to which can be added several EPs, splits and compilations. Despite this colossal output, Eöl has always shown consistency in his work and has never stagnated. On the contrary, he has always sought to explore new atmospheres and ambiences, and to push his creativity to the limit in order to offer a renewed and exceptional experience with each new opus. His compositions are epic, symphonic, and atmospheric, all part of a coherent vision reflected in the fantastic artworks by the highly talented Igor Mugerza, and he always pays particular attention to the quality of his album packaging.

From his very first album in 1998, Elffor began their ascent to the top, and today the band is recognized as one of the most emblematic bands in epic and atmospheric black metal.

Since 2018, we've had the privilege of working with Eöl and we're delighted that he's extending this collaboration under the Nightside Records banner.
